About The Scholarship Program
New London Rotary established this program over thirty years ago to help make the dreams of a college education a reality for some of the area's top students. Applicants are graduating seniors from Kearsarge Regional High School and Sunapee Middle High School and are recommended by the school's guidance department. Each student incurs approximately $50,000 in debt over their college career and though our scholarships may be modest, they are much appreciated. All seniors we meet still have financial gaps, the average being over fifty percent of the cost of the first year of college.
The 2022-2023 application is now live and is due on Friday, April 14th.
How To Apply
Application & Interview
Our application standards require each student to provide references from a faculty member and outside individual; high school grades for 4 years including SAT score and FAFSA (FAFSA is the Federal Student Aid application students fill out in order to determine their financial aid eligibility). Interviews of each applicant begin in early May and through this process, the Scholarship Committee is better able to determine the eligibility of each student and the financial challenges their families may face.
Scholarship Payments
Recipients are required to complete their first semester at college; have a minimum 2.5 GPA; send us a copy of their transcript and write a letter on their progress and experience at school-emailed to the address below. Once these are received payment is made.
