Dr. Greg Gutgsell presented our speaker Peter Bloch, a long-time New London resident and juried artist in woodturning with the
League of NH Craftsmen, He spoke to the Club recently on the use of drones with his other passion, photography. His talk was entitled
"New Ariel Perspective on Creativity".
Using a drone for his photography is a new direction for Peter, and he is exploring various business applications and collaborations.
His focus is nature and the natural landscape. Peter shared two stunning videos with seasonal photos taken using his drone and enhanced
with his wife Kathy's music. Photography and videography have always been hobbies, and use of the drone will expand his range and
opportunities. Peter has obtained a FAA commercial pilot license and shared information on insurance and privacy issues.
After the meeting, Peter invited everyone outside to witness a demonstration and be part of a group photo taken from above.
